About the Chef

I’m a California girl living in the south of France after leaving a nearly decade-long career at Waymo (Google’s self-driving car company) to pursue my dream of becoming a chef.

After deciding to make the switch into the culinary world, I completed an intensive culinary program and earned a diploma at Ferrandi Paris. After graduation, I began working in restaurants to get used to “life on the line.” This journey ultimately led me to Provence, working under chef Glenn Viel at the 3-star L’oustau de Baumanière. Under a piercingly blue sky, my ears ringing with the songs of cigales, it was then that I decided I had found the perfect setting to create Laurel.

I look forward to sharing with you the techniques, stories and flavors which I’ve learned and collected along the way.
